The KNX binary input module provides four voltage inputs covering AC/DC 12 to 230 V for integrating active sensors, switches, and control signals into a KNX installation. It is designed for mounting in an AP 118 automation module box or AP 641 room control box, making it ideal for compact room and zone control applications. The device is fully bus-powered and includes an integrated bus coupling unit with bus connection via the bus terminal block. Screw-less terminals support connection and through-wiring of untreated single-core, stranded, or multi-core conductors from 0.5 to 2.5 mm. Unshielded twisted cable runs up to 100 m are supported per input.

Key Functions

Per input, selectable functions include switching state transmission, switch edge evaluation, short/long operation, dimming, shading control, scene control, value sending, and pulse counting with limit value monitoring.
Per input pair, functions include two-pushbutton dimming and shading control.
Optional blocking via blocking objects and cyclic transmission are configurable.
